FAQs

  • Who do you help?

I work exclusively with individual adults ages 18 and older.

I celebrate diversity and work inclusively across all social identities. I also recognize privileges I hold. This drives me to examine my biases, create balance in power, and empathetically respect the individuality of experience.

  • What can you help with?

I offer specialized therapy for folks struggling with depression, trauma, and relationships to name a few. We can work through what type of therapy approach makes the most sense for your unique situation. Start by exploring my services page to learn more.

  • Are there certain concerns you don’t treat?

Yes, there are issues that may require expertise outside of my scope. In these cases, I can provide a referral to someone I think can help. I welcome you to schedule a free phone consultation and we can determine if my services are a good fit.

  • Where will we meet?

I see clients in Broomfield and Longmont. I prefer in-person sessions. This allows us both to be fully present, reading body language, sensing energetic shifts, and building an embodied therapeutic relationship. I reserve a limited number of spaces for virtual sessions for those that cannot attend in person.

  • How much will it cost?

My standard (53-minute) session rate is $150.

Total costs vary based on your personalized therapy plan. I provide a Good Faith Estimate for clients not using insurance.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Through a contract with Colorado Healing Collective, I accept Aetna, Anthem PPO, Cigna, and United Health Care.

Another option for payment is to use a qualified FSA/HSA card to pay for sessions. I can also provide a “superbill” for potential out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

  • Is therapy confidential?

Yes, what you discuss with me is legally and ethically protected and cannot be shared without your permission. The primary exceptions to this rule are situations where there is a threat of serious harm to yourself or others, or in cases of suspected abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult, as mandated by law. I will review the specific limits of confidentiality with you at the start of treatment.

  • What if I need to cancel an appointment?

Change requires commitment and consistency, so I ask that clients make every attempt to attend all scheduled sessions during the course of therapy. If a session must be missed, I request 24-hours notice and I offer opportunities for rescheduling.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule your free, 20-minute phone consultation directly from my calendar or feel free to contact me.

If we decide to move forward and begin counseling, we will discuss the best ongoing appointment time and frequency of sessions.
